Our Mission
The Friends of the Kern County Fair, a non-profit public benefit corporation 501(c)(3) is work ing to preserve and enrich the heritage of the 15th District Agricultural Association and show casing agricultural industries to the community. Offering support to the 4-H and FFA programs, creating agricultural education opportunities, and maintaining a standard of excellence and expansion in the facilities by implementing capital improvement programs. The Friends of the Kern County Fair also provides annual scholarship opportunities for students that excel in a combination of the areas of Agriculture, Academics, and Community Service.
Who We Are
Founded in 2012 by dedicated members of the local community, the Kern County Fair was established with the vision of fostering investment in the youth and broader community of Kern County the nation’s leading agricultural producer. This initiative was driven by a shared commitment to promoting growth, education, and opportunity, ensuring that the region’s rich agricultural heritage continues to thrive for generations to come.
What We Do
Friends of the Kern County Fair is committed to creating and funding opportunities that support the 15th District Agricultural Association. We focus on enhancing Junior Livestock programs, agricultural education, and vital capital improvements. Through these efforts, we aim to empower local youth, promote agricultural excellence, and ensure the fairgrounds continue to serve as a cornerstone of community engagement and celebration in Kern County.
