Our Mission
Who We Are
Founded in 2012 by dedicated members of the local community, the Kern County Fair was established with the vision of fostering investment in the youth and broader community of Kern County the nation’s leading agricultural producer. This initiative was driven by a shared commitment to promoting growth, education, and opportunity, ensuring that the region’s rich agricultural heritage continues to thrive for generations to come.

What We Do
Friends of the Kern County Fair is committed to creating and funding opportunities that support the 15th District Agricultural Association. We focus on enhancing Junior Livestock programs, agricultural education, and vital capital improvements. Through these efforts, we aim to empower local youth, promote agricultural excellence, and ensure the fairgrounds continue to serve as a cornerstone of community engagement and celebration in Kern County.
Why We Do It
As the nation’s top agricultural producer, Kern County has a unique opportunity to foster agricultural education for local youth. At Friends of the Kern County Fair, we are committed to providing educational programs and hands-on opportunities that equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge needed to support and advance the region’s agricultural legacy.
